Service Description

Greetings Archers, Our fledgling Archery Club here on Salt Spring Island invites one and all to join us for the Game of Arrows on the weekend of June 17 & 18. We have a beautiful and challenging roving archery course very close to the Long harbor ferry terminal, which is an easy connection from Tsawwassen on BC Ferries. This fun archery tournament is open to all ages and skill levels. There will be categories for Compound and Traditional archery, with sub categories for women and youth. There is a course of 16 targets. They are 3D animal targets and be set at unmarked distances. During the tournament there will be “nock times” for the course play and there is a practice range to warm up on. It is all outdoors in beautiful natural surroundings. The range is on a south facing hillside encircled by a mixed forest. The amount of wildflowers and wildlife that you can see while on the course is inspirational and adds to this great archery experience. The weekend pass for this event is $30 per shooter. It is intended as an “everyone’s a winner” style event but there are some serious prizes to be won from our sponsors (Bass Pro Shops, Home Hardware, Windsor Plywood, the Rod & Gun Club plus more). There will be food and drinks available as well as many other activities, games and demonstrations. There are a few vendors and artisans selling archery equipment and craftwork. The list is growing and still to be confirmed. We believe there will be a fantastic set up for Archery Tag as well and we will confirm this in the next few weeks. There are a number of great campsites on the island as well as AirBnBs but they do fill up fast as we move into the summer season. BOOK ASAP.
